Hi, thanks for the article. Very informative as we are looking into a car topper right now. If anyone has any feedback on setting up a late model pajero to hold a tinny it would be appreciated.

Hi 4musketeers

I fitted a Custom Boatloader to my Patrol. It was easy to fit and so easy to unload and load the tinnie that my wife usually doe's that and I find something else to do. I also like the idea that you can store your fuel container from the tinnie, fish box etc. On the mesh floor under the tinnie. I'm sure Bill & Di from custom boat loaders can help you out. I have pasted a link below of my Boatloader. I hope this helps you.

Cheers Macca

4Musks, we have an NP Paj. We have 2 ways of carrying the tinnie (3.5m); we can put on top of the camper trailer or put on the Rhino Rack boat loader. The Rhino Rack wasn't cheap at around $2,300 fitted with basket but it works fine. I have seen lots of good home made jobs on late model Pajeros. I work on not having more than 100kg total on the roof.
