Signman,

I haven't used one but I have just gotten home from ARB at Moorebank and they have the genuine ones for $147.00 for the 1300mm high ones and $175.00 for the larger one (it is 1600mm I think)

Cheers

Apart from 300mm (and $28) what's the difference between the two?? Why opt for the longer one/ or the shorter one??

I don't see any difference just that with the longer one you can get more lift but at the same time it will be more unstable. I'd use the 1300mm one and build up under the wheels if needed.

Get the genuine one, some of the copies are a worry, some have been recalled and I've seen one fail and the results of another failure.
They are unstable and dangerous enough by themselves without poor quality letting it down (literally!)

I have a genuine one, use it, and after seeing the copies, my preference would be to buy the genuine.

The difference in price is absolutely nothing when you consider that it could be yours or others safety that is at risk.
It's not pretty

If no response I will concede defeat and go genuine and get ripped off at ARB.

G'day Signman, There is no defeat in buying the best, if the best happens to be the genuine article! but why would you think you are going to get ripped off at ARB. I have always found that their prices are along the lines of other suppliers, and if you wait for a 4x4 show you may pick one up a little cheaper.
