GU splits rims on a GQ

Gday, just a quickie please, GU split rims will fit on a GQ. I have been told it's only a negligible difference in offset. Has anybody done it? Does the difference in offset make any difference in protecting the brakes (or anything else) from rocks etc?

The reason I ask is I am looking to buy a set of splits off a GU for my GQ and just want to double check before purchase so I'm not disappointed.

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, they're just about identical, I don't think you'll have any problems, maybe you could fit one to a front wheel before you buy just to be sure.
