Ok the beast (Nissan Patrol 4.2 td) needs new shoes, I have Geolander AT on there at the moment , was ok but when i got to the slippery stuff , it was not much chop.

So decided on the good year WR MTR's ( as i checked on the archives and many people like them )

NOW , was told the price for each is $329.00(each) INC fitting balance -- Is this right or is there better price options for the $$

looking forward to your reply

I was quoted $360 for 285/75/16 in Nowra (NSW)!!!!

Also looked at Mickey Thompson MTZ's which get a really good rap from those using them and were around the $300 mark.

I ended ended up going for a cheaper mud terrain by Maxxis - Buckshot. You often get what you pay for but I thought I would give them a go at $250 each. So far so good. I have read good reports on these tyres so worth the risk for me.

Good luck.

Check your local K-Mart Tyre & Service centre, you may be pleasantly surprised..
e.g., before xmas last year, I was quoted around $316-ish at Beau's for G/Y Silent Armours (LT265/75R16)..
Got 'em at K-Mart for around $258 (along with a 30cp/l fuel discount voucher per 2 tyres, which they do on certain brands from time to time:))..

Happy Huntin' ;-))

dont confuse 15 inch prices with 16 15s will always be much cheaper due to lighter construction. From memory they only have 5 tread plys compared to the 16s 7
