Hi All,
Just spoken with the manufacturer of our new CT, and he told me the battery he was fitting was a "Bond" AGM 210Ah.
I haven't heard of this brand before - did a quick search and came up empty.
Just wondered if anyone could shed any light.
Cheers.

I have never had anything to do with thier agm's but if they are anything like thier wet cells then I wouldn't be concerned. I have been using them for almost 14 years and always get a good run out of them. Only started using them because a mate sold them at his business.

You are investing a serious amount of money in this battery.
You don't know how much markup they are putting on the battery to maximise their profit margin.
I would insist on having a
well-known brand.

Having recently completed some formal testing (under controlled lab conditions) on one
well known brand of AGM I can tell you that buying a known brand is no guarantee you're getting what you're paying for.

cause dey made in china I bet! Mate tested a batch of batteries for an importer. All made in china. Plates were varing thicknesses, blobs or pieces of slag on the plates. Very poorly manufactured. But then there are some that are very good that he has come across also.

As per many (most?) lead acid batteries these days they were made in China, nevertheless, they are a
well known brand and are sold under OEM labels too.

Where I used to live they were
well known, in
Ballarat, as we had a Bond Batteries place. I had one in an old V8 Falcon that was slow to start on gas and I can't recall being unhappy with my run out of it.
Check out this

Cheers,
Mark.

As per Markmark, they are based in
Ballarat and been around for a long time. Their batteries are sold throughout Victoria.
