Hi, I had the same problem with a lada Niva I used to own. I ended up making my own
snorkel out of 75mm PVC stormwater pipe. Mating it to the aircleaner was the fun part (tricky) but with a multitude of 45 degree and 90 degree elbow joiners I managed to make it fit well and look neat. I made an air-ram on the top that I modelled on the safari air ram to exclude water in the same way, and found I now had better power from the engine - force-fed
cold air, not hot from the engine bay. If you don't mind using a holesaw on the wing of your car, this can be a cheap and easy way to do it, all up cost under $50 including painting it a matching colour (from memory). If you want more details, you can email me at alx110alex@netscape.com Cheers, Alex
