This works if one has a modicum of mechanical savvy but can be bloody dangerous if one doesn't have a clue about what they are doing.

Unfortunately with the so called modern hi tech motors etc, the amount the average bloke(or sheila) can safely do is getting less and less.

Let's go back to the good old days, series Landrovers and F series Toyotas, where a bloke could fix anything with a hammer, a screwdriver and/or a length of fencing wire cut from the neighbours fence.
