Afternoon All,

A friend of mine wants to travel around Fraser Is in a couple of weeks, only for a few days. He doesn't currently own a 4WD (but has beach driving exp), can anyone recommend somewhere to hire one? Is it even possible, due to risk of potential damage to car?

Any thought would be appreciated.

A few years ago we used Fourwheel Drive Hire Service in Brisbane. Flew to Brisbane, picked up a Landcruiser, and that was it. Rates were reasonable

At the time it was called Four Wheel Drive Hire Service, it's now Sargent's. See www.sargent.com.au

Can confirm, Hervey Bay or Rainbow Beach. Preferably Rainbow beach.

Thanks but Bris would be better as they'll fly from Sydney and need to get to Rainbow and Harvey somehow before hiring a 4WD. Any ideas?
