GPS Navigator Thingy.

Jimbo - VIC

Finally got ourselves one of those talking street directories. Picked it up at Aldi for $229.

It's bloody marvellous. We bought it primarily for 'er indoors, who has trouble finding her way out of the bathroom.

The little screen has easy to read prompts about what the next turn or two will be and the name of the upcoming road. And it talks to you...."please turn left in 700 metres"

And it is so easy to use, even for a techno dunce like me.

Hi Jimbo,

Anything in the documentation about it being supported with new maps every year? The bigger and better ones do (perhaps for a fee), but would be interested if the Aldi cheapie you bought has this.
What brand is it by the way? Model number would be great, so I can google it for a review.
Cheers
