Afternoon all, does anybody know if the 79 or 100 series 5 stud cruiser hubs fit onto an 80 series?

You get a better selection of rims with the 6 stud than the new ones so why bother

Nope!
many have tried to put 6 stud hubs on 78/79/100 series so they can have the wheels they want, but find that the bearings totally different size.

I have been told the bearings are the same size. At this stage the only difference is the later model 100 series went to a bigger rear rotor.
I think next weekend I will try to swap the hubs over and see what happens.

Will keep you posted

My 80 runs 5 stud 100 series front diff and rear diff...they bolt straight in and have bigger brakes and lower ratio...so 35's run at the right spedo and gearing is back to std....if you put 100 series callipers on your 79, they have bigger pistons for better stopping
