Magellan Map330 hiccup

Yesterday my Magellan kept switching itself off from my external power source and when doing so would not revert to battery power mode. We were travelling over long stretches of corrugations. I just kept on switching it on again each time.

Today the problem disappeared but the road surface did improve.

Has anyone had a similar problem with Magellan or any GPS?Cheers, Willem

Yeah, same thing Willem. My high tech solution was to stuff some folded paper between the plug and the cig lighter barrel.

Hi Bob, My GPS is hardwired in. Every time it switched itself off I was able to start it again immediately. I had a fair amount of dust inside the cabin and that may have caused the problem. Anyway, it seems to have come good again.
