Dakar Rally 08

To all 4by & motorsport enthusiasts (and isn't that most of us)- the Dakar Rally starts on the 5th thru to 20th. I think SBS will have edited highlights from 6th.
I'm hankering for the ToeRags to have a win for a change.
The only problems forecast will be the threatened attacks by Al-Qaeda in some areas...sure makes the chance of hitting a Roo in Oz look tame!!

Why don't they have more coverage of the guys down the order instead of only showing Mitsubishi, BMW and VW with their huge budgets?
Much more interesting seeing some small guys struggling to overcome and finishing rather than seeing a team with a truck load of spares who can rebuild a car each night.

scoof... how much of those comp trucks do you think is shared with the road going cars? The badge on the grill is even carbon fiber.
