I used to think that it was really not recommended to take a trailer on some of the trips such as througth the Simpson...or does that only apply to heavy trailers?

We have towed an OBriens Off Road Camper Trailer everywhere we have wanted to go, Cape York, Gibb River Road, Birdsville, Snowy River etc. and had no problems. I think it is important that the trailer be specifically built to cope with the conditons of Off Roading and not just your common trailer that you use to take the rubbish to the trip.
