Hi All

For information last week I had a Parnell " Prins" Sequentual Vapour Injection " kit installed on my 2004 V8 Landcruiser. I have now done 2000 kms and it appears great. No apparent loss of power.
The injectors may be slightly noisy , but can not hear them in the car. I was advised they will be quiten down when they bed in. I have a 100 ltr tank. I got 460 kms on highway and still had some gas left.

Early figures are 19 litres per 100 Kms sitting on 105 to 110 KMPH. At this stage I am very satisfied with its performance . I am yet to tow my 2.5 Tonne van on LPG.
Regards
Norm

Hi Norm,

We have a v8 Landrover Discovery that has got LPG/Petrol Conversion our LPG tank is 55litre, and we get normally about 240Ks just with the car on the highway, but when it comes to towing our 1.5 Tonne caravan we get about 150ks per tank of LPG. We are going up north soon and look forward to seeing how many Ks we get on a dead flat Rd.

Hi Andrea

On your figures you are using about 22.9 ltrs per 100 km, do you have an injection system installed. The 55 Ltr tank seems a bit small, could they not have put a larger one on?

I'm not at all sure if we have an injection system installed, would that make a difference to the fuel economy? with gas?

Andrea 11,
My mate on his discovery has removed the petrol tank and installed twin gas scuba style tanks in its place. This gives about 85 litres usable gas.An aftermarket Brown Davis petrol tank is fitted at the rear which fits partially up into the rear quarter panel and holds 70litres petrol. This seems to be the best combination for this vehicle.

Norm,

My 4.0 V6 Courier is having the same system fitted at the moment. I'll pick it up Monday.

Looking forward to seing how it goes. According to Eric (Rock Crawler) and he is expert in such matters, it should return as good, if not slightly better economy and power than on ULP.

You've got to love having petrol power and better than diesel economy.

Jim.

As I said i could not notice any loss of power. At this early stage of monitoring the LPG consumption, I am using 2 maybe 2.5 litres more of LPG per 100 klms than petrol. Keep in mind mine is a V8 and was using about 16.5 lts of petrol per 100 kms ( highway).

Also I had a flash lube kit installed ($100). It is good insurance.
