If I remember rightly Bilsteins are a single tube shock, which is great on road cars. This mean the piston runs on the inside of the tube you look at which is excellent for cooling. However, if you ding the tube (as we often do) then the shoch is a throw away job :( Check with then to see if they still are single tube. BTW, I'm saving up for Ranchos.

Rancho Rancho Rancho! I had these on my Rangie (rs5000's) and have switched alot of friends onto them since. They are guaranteed for as long as you own the car and really are a great Shock for your dollar

Rancho's are the way to go.
It came time for me to replace my rear shocks and steering damper. A set of RS9000's all the way round and they were a HUGE improvement on the ones already fitted. The adjustability of the RS9000's makes for a more comfy ride on the black top (especially in a Hilux) and then turn them up when you hit the dirt. (I opted out of the in-car auto adjustment system due to budget constraints - but this can be fitted later on - saves running around turning the knob on each shock)
