Adelaide-where to buy good vehicle

Myself and my partner will be traveliing from Adelaide to Cairns in 2002. We want to buy our own van to do this in. Does anyone know a place in Adelaide where we will be able to buy one at reasonable price (second hand) and also what vans are the best for doing long distances in? Would we be better off traveling to Mekbourne/Canberra by train and buying vehicle in one of these places?? We would be gratefull for any help with this.......Thanxs....

Try www.travelcar.com.au they may have something to suit your needs-- It may be better to head for Sydney lots more available and better choice
