Article Overview - Robe Beach Run
From Robe in south east SA to Beachport this trek heads south along a wild windswept beach. Challenging beach driving - 4WD essential. View Full Article...
We did part of this Trek from Robe to Nora Creina last week (April 2008) - great fun with fantastic coastal scenery, genuine beach driving and some great dune tracks. The Trek Notes were good.

The Little Dip Conservation Park is well maintained with good camping facilities. Lowering tyre pressures (particularly on standard rubber) is a must as is decent vehicle clearance and low range gearing.

Next trip try the run from Southend north in Canunda National Park. Be warned of the sand the further you travel as it gets extremely soft in sections. My wife had the Gu 4.2tdi in full noise trying to keep momentum for about 2 kms until we could get off the beach. Looking back it was a lot of fun but not a trip to do like that without company! Sensational camping in Southend in a private camping ground one dune back from the beach, sheltered from the wind with flushing dunny, fresh water and at $4 a head per night bloody good value.
