slowly, on the SA side anyways...

expect corrugations, sandy driving, remote - with looooooong distances between fuel and water stops, little traffic.

Bri,

Anne Beadell was up our way last night. She said her and Len once went out there with a minister to do a christening, he was driving a Subi and Len was surprised as to how well it went..

Your only draw back will be tyre wall size and fuel carying...

We will be on it about June 6 to 12 so I guess we will see its condition then..

I spoke to a VKS737 member on last night's HF radio sked - he was out around the EMU area on the AB - going west - rattling along on the corrugations, and doing a leisurely 100km or so a day - mostly at 25 / 30 kph - he had done a few trips along there over the years and this was the slowest, due to the surfaces there.

I went across the AB a couple of years ago and came across an elderly couple from Tasmania who were driving their Subaru Outback across W to E. Saw them around Anne's Corner and later a few bits of plastic I suspect they left behind. They were as happy as!!
