Pindan Removal

G'day peoples,

After living in Broome for a couple of years the underside/engine bay aluminium areas on the hilux have pindan ingrained in it. The $64,000 question is, is there any products that can remove it?? Or any tips for that matter??

From personal experience I dont think you can ever totally remove it from the vehicle and you'll never remove it from your soul. NWWA rules! I tried constant washing, both the vehicle and me, but traces of it still remain on both of us.

John, It is the red dirt that you get in the Kimberley. It is a real rich red colour that really blows you away. My wife has some in the family room along with shells collected etc.
Broome in July....... Can't wait

Duck,

Live in Broome myself and the best stuff i have found is called RIO, it is available from progressive supplies.
Had a white troopy for years and a good once over with that used to have it looking like new again.
Be sure to read instructions and wear rubber gloves as it is slightly acidic.
Dilute to the recommended strength and only do small sections at a time before hosing off.
