Not wet or muddy..Dry, hard, corrugated. Speed is main cause on corners, The corners are either corrugated or sandy and at speed either one causes vehicles to go straight instead of turning and at the best of times the windrow is bl00dy close...Once you hit the windrow there are a variety of outcomes..None good.
From one end to the other floodways are abundant..Hit these to fast and you come out the other side with the car lightened and if you get ruts or rocks vehicle is redirected. It is usually correcting the redirection that leads to oops.. Very similar to overcorrecting a slide.
RAC roadside recommended recovery rate is 3.00 a klm on dirt. That doesn't mean that is what it will cost as the degree of difficulty can contribute to cost as well.
