I put an intermittent wiper switch on my old datsun years ago. Not sure if the switch is still available from some one like supercheap, ryco etc. Worked well and you were able to set it to how quick or slow you wanted the wipers to sweep. Regards Steve M

Reminds me of a story:
In the early 60's, these devices were the domain of luxury cars. There were still plenty of Holdens around using those vacuum wipers, which slowed down or even stopped as you ascended hills.
I made up one of these intermittent devices for my Mini. As it turned out, the day I fitted it, my Dad asked me if I'd drop one of his workers off in town. It had just started to drizzle rain, so I proudly switched on the intermittent wiper to show it off, and it worked a treat. The guy was looking at this marvel (so I thought), and after a while he commented: "that's the trouble with these vacuum wipers, they never work properly".
Geez I was deflated.

antmisk,

i have used VB to VH commodore units in various vehicles with success.there is 2 bits to it, the time dial with the loom and the relay-thats it.mount the dial with backing plate on the dash, stick the relay under the dash and wire up to your low speed.if you are a little electrically inclined you will be alright.a very cheap alternative.and they work very well and have a wide range in time.cheers Paul
