There seems to be more and more of the DYI
accessories appearing. After watcing a story on the ARB factory the other day I can see why we pay so much.
Its all the computerised laser cutters and robot grinding and shaping machines. It must cost them millions to setup thier factory in
Melbourne.
It also appears the mining industry is driving up the price of 4WD
accessories just like China is doing with diesel. Seems there is more price gouging from manufacturers and retailers as they now have a captive market that has an open cheque book so the poor old joe on off the street pays through the nose.
A recent exercise to price a replacement long range fuel tank had them marked up of 65% above RRP! The manufacurer (no names) was happy to sell me one direct and cut out the middle men and thier obscene profit margins.
