Does anybody know if you can drive on the vehicular tracks in Wilsons Promontory, the map we have says they are for management only. Do you have to hike in?

So how much of the Prom can you see if you have kids and can't hike in? We thought you could go down to the cliffs and see the seals and penguins. Can you get permits or anything to drive on them, or are they strictly "out of bounds"?

Seals and penguins, I think you want Phillip Island! Typical National Park, restrict access to all but the fittest. Sorry, but you will have to walk.

Don't despair too much - we spent a few days there with our kids aged 7 and 5 (it was a few years ago now!) and found that most of the walks through the Prom were relatively easily completed with children this age.

There were a couple of afternoons where I hiked off on my own as the kids were more interested in simple play, but overall we had a ball.

Watch out for the wombats though! They just bulldoze their way through your camp and one knocked a table of drinks over for us :+)
