Hi Zukscoooter,
We have just purchased one but havent really used it enough yet to give you an honest answer. We are happy with it but have a few concerns the main one being the fridge as the exhaust covers do not seem to be in the right place which will have a detrimental effect on the fridges operation, so we will put in a 12 volt fan, check the roll out awning as it appears they do not put the best quality one or that is what looks like on ours. I do think you will be better off with one of these rahter than a Jayco outback etc. we have on and decided to buy one of these as they are more suitable to the type of camping we do off road etc. hope this helps

Bob,

I have a larger Supreme Getaway 16'6 and you know where that has been. Same suspension as what you indicate but it is probably only an imitation of the sugar glider suspension as I have just found out recently. Not many places I would be afraid to take mine but if I had a 12'6 it would be even more open slather in my opinion.

Give me a bell if I can help in any way at all.

Regards, Trevor.

Bob,

The older one's (mine is 2000 model) have been reported to be better build quality than the equivalent new ones so you may well be better off with one like you say, 10 yr old. Steel floor makes them very heavy for their length but also helps to make them indestructable within most peoples use. The floor has been reported to make it colder in winter, but I haven't felt it too much even in snow country. It took some time for me to work out tyre suitability and I went through many tyres in the beginning just from my speeds and weight I reckon. I removed the gas fridge and put in a 12/240 volt compressor type as the three way gas type just don't cut it in FNQ heat but this adds power supply, batteries and extra weight to the equation if you need to stop for any length of time. Only the microwave has rattled loose inside the van (secured my way now!!) all other fixtures are as they left the factory and have stood up well to a fair amount of punishment. I am up to about 300 000 km in mine now.

Overall I am very impressed with mine and it would take a bloody nice van to replace it. Trackmaster would be about the only other contender if I were about to buy another offroader.

Cheers, Trevor.

PS 20K seems a little steep to me. I was told recently by a dealer, with all batteries and accessories mine should sell privately for about late teens. If it has heaps of goodies and in mint cond, it may be worth a closer look.
Cheers.
