Thanks to everyone who replied. Here are some answers: Bruce your calcs are correct, my Trooper (Jack) will do around 118 mph which scares the daylights out of the Beemers on the motorway when they see nearly 3 tonnes flashing them to move over. Here is the Superchip agent for Oz, they can do something for your 3.1 as well as the 3.0. for Matt. www.powerchipgroup.com.au
Mixo, I have used Mobil1 Turbo Diesel 5w40 or 0w40 since it came on the market some years ago. It's expensive here but half price in France and better value than
Beer!! In Winter £9 gets you and car there for a day through the Tunnel. I know that people say that the Trooper is fussy about oil due to it's Caterpillar starting system but in my experience dealers use mediocre stuff whatever they can buy in by bulk anyway. The 3.0 should start within 3 secs., if it starts to take longer then putting in the n/r valve should restore things. I can do a digipic of the installation if anyone cares to e-mail me. I never use cheap filters which are often Chinese pattern parts I use ADL/Blueprint which are identical to Isuzu/Holden and much cheaper. Chuck out the standard air filter which is expensive rubbish, there is a K&N and JR(French) application for all Troopers/Jacks. I have fitted billet steel spacers to increase track by 30mm each side just like your wide-track Jack., no problems at all.
By the way, I don't know if you have seen it out there but there is a 26 page catalogue of factory
accessories for our cars apparently only available in Japan. The whole car can turn into a camper with beds, cooker,
shower etc. The dealers here sell their own trim plates etc. which don't fit properly. I hope all this helps, let me know if I can be of any assistance. These cars are superb and do just what it says on the tin. Wish the same could be said for dealerships in general.

Hi John, Very interested in your non return valve to solve starting probs. My 98 Jack has never started well on
cold morns, dealers have replaced seal 3 times numerous other things and finally injectors, all under warranty. It has spent an enormous amount of time at the dealers, and with 60,000 on the clock no improvement at all. Any help you could give would be much appreciated.
