Konis... the best around. Not cheap, but they are rebuildable as well as quality.

We used the Monroe gas shocks at 60k on the Extra Cab same year as yours and have been very happy with them. The rear has sagged beyond recovery, now 95k, so will probably be replacing with series 2000 all round (already had the torsion bars fitted at 50k)
The monroe shocks were cheap $130 for the full set are still going strong, 75% central desert roads. and have given a good ride, we are only considering the series 2000 so that we have the same gear allround. We are considering tho wether to fit air shocks on rear so that we can set the height like with polys and am about to post now to see what the consensus is.

If your allways towing a heavy off road trailer id go with the konis.but if your just towing it about %50 of the time mabe concider the rancho's 9000 (RS 9000) they are fully adjustable to suit your driving needs and what type terain your driving on their fairly cheap and they wont let you down.

Hi Shaun,
I believe that most of the cheaper end of the shockies are made in the same factory and painted different colours...I've never really had a set last too long with a fair amount of punishment. My next set I'll pay thge extra and get some decent ones...like anything, you get what you pay for...

TRY enforcer shockies .
you need to look at your spring as they do all the work and hold the 4x4 up
talk to L.C. 4X4 PARTS 0746696639 . they reset there own springs .
and sell new products and were much cheaper than all other 4x4 shops .
