As it has been stated, there is a serious downturn in the leisure vehicle market.
People are buying with the brains obviously.
Being a former Roadstar owner, I'm not that surprised, they didn't do much to enhance their themselves & their customer service after the sale was poor. Though the van was well constructed, the fit out workmanship left a bit to be desired.
For example, a door to the shower/toilet came adrift shortly after purchase, at
Eucla. I had it fixed in
Esperance, cost $26, and they quibbled about it. Wanted me to go to a Roadstar agent in
Albany. Also, the roof leaked, a gas leak caused LPG to enter into the cupboards under the stove and exploded, not seriously but gave ny wife one hell of a fright & that was the evening after we took delivery of it. They didn't even vacuum the wood shavings & sawdust off the floor in the cupboards.
I own a Jayco now, not a problem since delivery 3 years ago.
Still, it's a shame to see another manufacturer go to the wall.
