We travelled the
Hay River last year...Fantastic trip.
Potatoes, onions and tomatoes we wrapped in layers of newspaper and put into a reinforced cardboard box in between the kids in the back seat this is the coolest spot.
We washed and cryvac'ed serving sizes of beans, snow peas, refrigerated vegies etc. As for lettuce we washed and layered it into a thin tupperware container, this went all soggy probably because our
fridge was cycling around 0 to 3 degrees.
However If we had placed the lettuce at the top of the
fridge rather than the centre we felt it would have had a better chance.
