Mark,
I have a 92 Pajero and found it a bit low. I decided to raise it 40mm. A set of 40mm oversize King springs and overlength shockies. The front was raised by the torsion bar and when the vehicle was raised 40mm above new height it actually camy up 57mm from where it had sagged.
Iunertook a trip up the east coast road to
Cape Melville with this setup and found the car excellent when traversing washouts and large ruts. The additional height also helped the approach, eparture and cross over angles. The whole exercise cost me $300 and it was well worth the effort.
