just wondering if anyone has any resent info on the old eyre highway from
nullarbor roadhouse to WASA border village has anyone been down there and can you tell me what it is like plus any tips on what to see there am going in september for the whales would like to go the old road one way to Eucla then back vis the new coast highway. we are going to take in the
gawler ranges and lake garnier on the way down.

We did it in 2006, nice drive there are many things to see (we will do it agian only slower)

It's a good trip have fun, we towed a van as you can see. no problems with rain the road is pure
Limestone.

Love the pics,brings back memories of stopping at Ivy Tanks for fuel and a rest back in the 60s-70s. I used to drive that road every year for about five years back then. Must do that trip in the near future.

No not as far as we know the old roadhouse is a national park the rest who know. It is very flat and not shelter.

You can stay at the NP plenty to see Caves old cars old buildings.
We will return and have a good look around oneday and head north to lake brown.

Hi. We travelled parts of that over xmas. It is a gentle road. There are some notes and pictures on my blog.
I'd suggest you stop and look at everything that is marked on the Westprint or Hema maps. The best camping, as suggested, would be around
Koonalda.
