Just another update on the Gathering in St George. I have now had confirmation of a farm tour that will be run over 2 days, as the group size is a tad large so I have organised for 1/2 the Gathering attendees to go one day and the other 1/2 the next.

I have also been in contact with the local winery and have organised a premises tour etc for the alternate days of the farm tour so there is something to do for both groups.

I am yet to contact the Rosehill Aviary to confirm max group numbers for their Aviary so that may fill another couple of days.

Also

Last year Steve (of Geratric Gypsies) volunteered to shave his beard and eventually his head for the RFDS Fundraising, raising close to $200. So not to be out done, I have heard from a reliable source (Mark G) that a certain member who is attending is contemplating volunteering his back to be waxed to raise money. He has an addiction to Yowies and all things to do with Hair so I am sure there will be some effort put into getting his back waxed.

It is not long to go now, About 14 weeks LOL

Cheers Kev

Sounds interesting, maybe he might require some Medication in CANS, before and after the procedure, and just maybe we might have to try the Medication as well.

Cheers

the back waxing sounds like the go for raising some dosh BUT..............just how much wax will have to be used and the strips to remove the Hair will need some careful planning me thinks.

Kev,
I vaguely remember you telling me that, when you wanted the Yowie to go with you and Mark to St George to help with the cutting of firewood for the Gathering that Yowies are a Protected Species in them parts. And are free to run wild.
Talk of Waxings and such things may frighten the Yowie.

G'day Kev

I've rewritten the rules for horseshoes to allow for Mark G to use the smaller horseshoes - I'll make sure the video camera is charged and ready to roll when it's his turn.

Julie and I will be sitting down fairly soon to plan the rest of the trip. We will be going back out through Corner Country, Innamincka, Birdsville and then over to the gathering. Missed quite a few pic opportunities lat time so we'll be better prepared this time.

Looking fwd to catching up with those we met last time and meeting "new" friends.

Cheers

The average temps are around the mid 20's during the day and probably down to mid single digit temps at night.

I won't be taking any form of warm clothing cause there is enough fire wood to keep me warm ;)

Another point to raise is don't forget about the Go Cart Races for the kids.

I haven't seen or know how many the scout group have but I am sure some people may bring additional ones along for the kids to race with.

Should be good for them to let off steam before bed LOL

Well the first funds have arrived for the Waxing of Hairs' back.

I recieved a $50 note in the mail today from the cockroach supporter Member Barry F (nsw).

Barry also donated $50 last year for the shaving of Steve's beard, so now the challenge has been set again by Barry for someone to add to the kitty to get this back waxed LOL

I hope you can make it to a Gathering one day Barry as I reckon Hairs will love to meet you hahaha

Cheers and Thanks
