Article Overview - Fishing Spots in QLD
Each state and territory in Australia has its own premier fishing spots and predominant fish species. Some locations may reveal abundant fish stocks of a select species whilst others may offer a more diverse range of species. View Full Article...
Since adding a caravan and tinny to our registrations bill, we've been getting out around the lakes here in SE Qld and up around the Tropic of Capricorn. Last trip included Cania dam and Monduran dam. Fished the heck out of Monduran but only the pros were getting any Barra after a long days fishing. I believe there are Redclaw in Monduran but I didn't have a trap to find out.
Since then we have been over to Somerset dam and picked up a few Reds in the deeper water (15m) with a single trap. We are new to Caloundra and there are quite a number of dams/lakes within an hour's drive, begging the question - are Somerset and Borumba the only two dams in this area with Redclaw?. I've scratched around the net for info without much success.

cheers

Sorry, but what really is your point/question. Registration, caravanning, travelling, fishing, sight-seeing ?

None of the above. His question clearly is:

"are Somerset and Borumba the only two dams in this area with Redclaw?."

No worries turbopete. Somerset is not far away and it sure is a pretty lake with 94% capacity. I'll be over there next week now I've got a new battery to crank Mr Johnson over.
