Ray

Hi,

I intend travelling to the Kimberley region mid next year. Is the Ron Moon book on this area the better of the bunch of travel books or is there better more informative material available. Any suggestions on which book and any places to visit etc, etc is appreciated.

Ray

Hi Ray,

I have the Ron Moon book and it is quite good, however I think some of the information may be getting dated (even though the latest edition was supposedly updated in 2002 I think).

I have just returned from the Kimberley and some of the trek notes didn't seem to match with reality, for example the Karunjie track - the notes supplied by El Questro were much more accurate.

Cheers Tony.

Hello Ray , We are also heading up that way around early to mid next year , we recently finished a trip up to the Cape and only book we had was the Ron Moon book plus the Cape HEMA map.....both seemed to be pretty spot on .....and main problem was lack of QLD road signs.....had the book on bed side table for about three months before we left...went to sleep reading over and over many nights....saw Ron Moon at the Sydney 4X4 show and said he had been next to my bed for the last three months....he looked at me like I was some NUTTER....lol...should have maybe explained myself a bit better...
