A big thankyou to all who responded to my post, As new comers I didn't know what to expect and I am blown away by the responses to our query about 5th wheelers. It has certainly given us a wide variety of views to consider, all of which we will digest as we move along. There is a mountain of pros and cons to wade through.
We are still very open to what would suit us and we have heaps of time as unfortunately I still have to work for a while yet.
I would love to have a trial run just to see if in fact a 5r would be an option.
