Hi all, We are planning a trip to Arkaroola at the end of the month and was considering going across to Cameron's corner. Have just got a new Prado which l am sure sure can handle the conditions but am towing a road version jayco camper. Would be suitable to use on the track? if so can anybody recommend any sights worth looking out for. We are travelling alone at this stage. regards Theo

You should be fine. There are a few corrugations but not many. The Strezlecki is a but rough in patches but not bad. All in all a fairly decent road.

Thanks John sort of what l was expecting. The guy l was talking was saying watch out for this, don't do that . Am guessing he drives a limo. As we all know we wouldn't do it if it was easy and we can expect bumps and dust along the way.

We travelled from Arkaroola To Innamincka 1 week ago via Mt hopeless.
First 20-30 kms from NP Headquarters adjacent Arkaroola turnoff is reasonably corrugated, after that its a good road.
The Strezlecki is a good road up to Innamincka.
We came down the bore track to cameron corner and the 15kms from Bollards Lagoon to Cam Corner is pretty ordinary and the main route from there to Tibooburra is corrugated as well (the lady at Cameron corner said there were about 9000 vehicles over this section of road in July!) so we took the middle road through to Tibooburra which was OK.

Cheers

Take a stapler and a screw driver to put the Jayco back together and you should be fine.
