I don't know about the A/T's, but the first set of muddies I bought were Pro Comps and they were great! But the second set I was not as happy with, they didn't last as long (or as many K's) and were "lumpy"..... The other thing is to find out what
tyres are most likely to be stocked in any town you happen to be visiting, in case you need a new one. I realize you can't ring EVERY town to do this research, but having
tyres that are reasonably common could only be a good thing! We blew a tyre (BFG 33" muddy) on the way to
Birdsville last year and, to my surprise, had to order one up from
Adelaide. I thought EVERY town would stock a BFG muddy! But not so. Mind you, a few extra days in
Birdsville waiting on a tyre wasn't a bad thing! LOL....
