OK..so the 'dealer' raves about the ProComp A/T...and you haven't heard much about them !!
But I'm sure if you do a search here on the Bridgestone (693 or 694) you'll get heaps of favourable comments !!

I have Pro Comp M/Ts on my 100 series. they are now about 6 years old, done about 60k on them and they have been fantastic. they are nearly stuffed now but they have had a pretty hard life and never given me any grief. i have never had a puncture, even though they are cut up quite badly. i believe the A/Ts are as good and will give good service also. when i eventually replace them(was going to do that prior to last trip but didnt) i will buy them again. i only use them for trips as i have another set for the blacktop.(you can probably see them in my rig pic)

Which Duelers were you quoted for? I used the 693LT Dueler for years in 31''. Best tyre ever, now i have 17'' rims cant get 693s so had to go for the 694s but non L/T. Nothing beats the 693s mate, trust me. Practically lived on the Gibb road and never a flat or a problem. All the fellas i know run the 693s up here and all are frequently out in the rough without any dramas.

I am currently running these on the 105, but they only have about 11k km on them. So far I have done a little high country work, lightly loaded and they grip well on steep rocky stuff, with the pressures lowered to just under 30psi.

So far seem to be wearing evenly and slowly, but it's early days yet to make an informed decision.

Good luck. It's always a tough one with tyres as there's always someone prepared to bag them and someone else gives them the thumbs up.

Just one point to note, I have heard a little 'rumour' that these tyres aren't so good if very heavily loaded and towing heavy...they tend to get cut up..... but haven't put myself in this position just yet.

I don't know about the A/T's, but the first set of muddies I bought were Pro Comps and they were great! But the second set I was not as happy with, they didn't last as long (or as many K's) and were "lumpy"..... The other thing is to find out what tyres are most likely to be stocked in any town you happen to be visiting, in case you need a new one. I realize you can't ring EVERY town to do this research, but having tyres that are reasonably common could only be a good thing! We blew a tyre (BFG 33" muddy) on the way to Birdsville last year and, to my surprise, had to order one up from Adelaide. I thought EVERY town would stock a BFG muddy! But not so. Mind you, a few extra days in Birdsville waiting on a tyre wasn't a bad thing! LOL....

Thanks all for your replies. That's something I hadn't thought of the replacement. At the moment I have a Bridgestone 693 as a spare. I'm pretty new to the whole 4wd thing so forgive my ignorance... would it be a problem to run 693s on the rear and pro comps on the front if it came down to it if they're not avaliable... If this will work out I think I will give them a shot and let you know how they go... only problem now is I'm told by the guys at the tyre shop that there's a 6-8 week wait on the ATs.
