hi all
yes ive seen white ones on several occasions through-out w.a. areas and had a large sturt desert pea bush which i grew in my back yard
i dug a large pit and filled it with rabbit manure that came from a local rabbit
farm that was here at the time they were fed on palletized food
the bush is the biggest i have seen
it grew non stop for nearly 21 months it was as high as the super 6 1.8m fence and and nearly as wide
i was digging near it one day removing the remains of an old fig tree root and accidently cut one of the sturt pea bushes main roots and hence it died a short period later to my utmost disgust
on that bush there was a variety of different shades on each large stem coming from it's base from the dark black
to a range of shades of pinks and also a white center and a pure white bunch of flowers all on the one bush
i also discovered that it reponded to regular lite pruning
after it died my son was spreading lawn fertilizer and decided that it would'nt hurt to throw some on the sturt pea patch
well try as i did i could never get any more to grow in that patch of soil again as soon as they germinated and started to tiller they would die
i now have a small plant growing again from seed that came from seed stocks from
kings park perth and am looking forward to the flowers developing shortly but this one does'nt have any rabbit manure under it and it's growth rate is much slower i might add
i never tasted bunny poo but there's something in it????
cheers
