Charl. This one is going to take a bit of thinking about.Efi on petrol engines has been around since the early eighties and was initially just an add on to the existing engines of the day, things have moved along since then and engine design has gradually kept pace!Efi on diesels is relativly new and seems to be driven by the need for clean emissions as was the case with petrol.Small capacity high output diesels are a european thing brought about by engine size regulations. The 4.2 and 4.5 Nissan engines are old tec engines with hi tec efi systems attached I think that they are both good honest performers The new 4.8 is something else again with increased capacity and multi valves time and kilometers will be the judge of this one.
