uluru info....

im doing an assignment for school on uluru im looking for some info well alot of info.and i was wonderind if you could tell me when uluru was first used, who occupied it/used it, and what it tells us about the people who lived there. if you could help me i would be very greatful VERY GREATFUL thank you from jade :)

Try the Australian and World Heritage section of the Dept of Environment and Heritage on 02 6274 2111 (ask for Joanne). They may also be on the gov website.

Jade,
The Rock is called Uluru (Ayers Rock) and the township is called Yulara. Yulara is a tourist village, some 20km from Uluru and would not be there if it were not for the Uluru and the Olgas. There was the old Ayers Rock village at the base of Uluru, which is now the site of Mutitjulu Aboriginal & Park Rangers Village. Check out the website below, also do a search on the names and you will get quite a lot of info.
