i was wondering if someone knows the most economical speed or revs for a turbo diesel rodeo

i have owned two rodeos and find that the most economical speed and revs are around 95 kmh at approx 2900 revs on highway work. i am getting approx 33 mpg consistantly although i have fitted an intercooler to my 2000 model d/cab
it does vary considerably off road

sorry luke made a blu 90-95 kph is about 2650 rpm and i find this about the most economical

hi andrew, the intercooler is fitted to a 2000 model dual cab and has boosted from 74kw to 92 and torque from 225nm to 265 as dyno tested by Bunbury Fuel Injection. it is mounted in front of radiator and is quite a large cooling area. power more noticable when loaded or towing. really happy with it. $1700 but worth it

Luke, Brian & Andrew. I have a 2000 TD Rodeo, now with about 55000km on it. At the 20000 (6 months after purchase) I had a intercooler fitted by HiTech in Adelaide. The intercooler sits over the engine utilising a bonnet scoop. This puts power at about 96 kW, on par with the new 3.0L TD with intercooler.
I always drive at 110 km/h with cruise engaged, and consistently return about the 32/33 mpg, this speed is about 3050 RPM. I have not driven it consistently at higher speeds than 110 km/h, but would expect ecenomy to reduce.
The addition of intercooler does provide additional squirt for overtaking. Overtaking tripple trailer road trains is no problem.

Thanx guys, have any of you changed the exhaust system, to say a 2.5" mandrell bent system, theoretically there is more air volume going in, and coming out, ie, condensed cooler air at the intercooler over standard setup, ..
any comment?
