G/Day GB

Looks ok to me, but just some more extra weight to lug around, I use my trusty Long Handle Post Hole Shovel, it does several jobs from obviously digging holes and removing sand ect from under the vehicle, putting coals on the camp oven, and also levering up the road wheels on the 4by and caravan, there are plenty of other uses for it but that might be extra work, that I like to steer clear of these days, us Elderly Gentle Men like to save our sweat for fun things lol lol.

Cheers

As I have mentioned elsewhere on this forum I use a pair of go-jacks to move the camper hard up against the wall to make more room in the garage.

Today I was checking the wheel bearings on the campe. I jacked the go-jacks as high as they would go, placed a jack stand under the axle and lowered the go-jack. With the camper sitting on the jack stand I undid the wheel nuts and simplly rolled the wheel away on the go-jack.

When I had finished with the bearing I simply wheeled the go-jack with the wheel still on it back into place. No sweat, literally.

It wouldn't work in the bush but it was so easy sitting in the garage.

In the bush I put the wheel as close to the trailer as I can, put my toes under the edges and lift it with my feet. Not as easy as the go-jacks but still not that hard.

Yes but the price of Go jacks are considerably more than $49.

The ones Ive seen are 10 times that.

I'm with the shovel. My toes aren't strong enough to lift 43kg.

We used a shovel to put 22in wheels on the buses Worked fine.

Yeah I know. I nearly mentioned the price as a downside but I already have the go-jacks so for me there is no additional cost.

I am sure the shovel idea will be getting used in the not to distant future, at least when I am not at home.
