Had a similar thing happen up a creek off the
East Alligator River, although not on that scale. The tide was going out rapidly and the crocs were getting higher than us.......eerrr, up the banks I mean, and as we motored out, Ox eyed Herring were jumping everywhere. One hit me in the back, frightened HELL out of me thought it was a croc. I Nearly jumped out of the boat.
Are the Territory.

Yeah have the same happen with deep sea
mullet all the time. Mongrels carry some weight and speed too. Good eating and even better bait.

These are an invasive species from asia that are destroying Americas fresh water rivers and streams. We also have carp here that are destroying our rivers.
Pretty funny to watch them jumping out of the water though. Can be dangerous as some have had their noses broken and jaws broken being hit by these fish.
A sport in America is to Bow hunt these fish.
