Simon & Maresa

Hi all. Having extreme trouble trying to get insurance for my Rangie with a 350 Chev in it.
Many other probs such as must have had prior ins. to get ins and then other mods hold me back. Any advice or companies of suggestion? Thanks S&M

if you are in a 4wd club or VKS737 then you can use the Australian National 4WD Council Insurance scheme which is managed by TCIS see http://www.tcis.com.au/html/fourwheel_index.htm

Try Western QBE. They have been fantastic especially during my breakdown on Windy Corner in the Gibson.

Nothing was too much trouble for them.

I found tcis impossible and slow to deal with. I never bothered getting insurance off them 'cause they took too long to reply to anything...It took over a month to get a quote ane I had already left on my trip before they got back to me.....god help me if I made a claim!
They're service is atrocious and from what I can gather, run from somebodys' back room! Not impressed.

Interesting, Rich. My experience was totally different.
I organised my insurance whilst my vehicle was in Oz and I was in the UK. They were very quick by email and even let me know which organisations I could join easily to take advantage of the scheme. Policy documents etc. were delivered promptly, so no complaints from me.
