Ken, In good weather there is ample space along the Cooper for everyone. The town common is close in but as such tends to be worst, although you can walk home from the pub to there. There are heaps of spaces out towards Will's grave, you just keep nosing into them till you find a spot you like. The alternetive which is a little further out is Culyamurra water hole, once again there are loads of spots close to water, with long drops available. You will need a desert parks pass to camp. we have been in the area a couple of times and have never had too much of a problem with crowds. Follow camping rule number one, the earlier you set up, the better the spot you can get. Oh! as for fishing, it takes up too much drinking time! Happy trails, Mike.

I agree with other responce, I'v been going to Innaminka for several years now and in regards to fishing it is well worth the time, don't forget Deserts park pass. Happy travelling.

Ken, one of the more "private" campsites is Ski Beach, on the way to King's marker. It's a pretty small and quiet spot. Cullyamurra WH has lots of different campsites and can get very crowded during holiday season. I don't know about fishing off Ski Beach though. Don't forget to have a meal at the Innamincka Hotel, their steaks are famous....

Ken, Most of coopers is good fishing, it is very deep in the middle and you will need a 1/0 sinker or more to keep your bait down aginst the current. yellowbelly are common and the odd silver perch (apparently, I've never caught one). Trap with reeds in your pot to catch the local shrimp and use them live on the largest hook possible. try the 'choke' up top of cullymurra hole, about 1k walk from the 'uppermost' (Easterly?) camping site at cullymurra. You should catch more than enough for all. The yabbiesa r good too....

Hope you have a great time with the fishing - just one little point - it's Cooper Creek not Coopers Creek. Just like it's Kimberley not the Kimberleys. You'll have a good time at Innamincka - the weather is lovely.
