All the eights - how lucky is that?

There was a Chinese multi millionaire in Singapore in the early 70s [when millions meant something :) ] who had more money than you could poke a stick at.

He had the whole "S" series of 88 number plates except SH and SZ which were taxis and hire cars respectively.

He had SA 88, SB88, SC88, etc etc - all the way through, and each number was attached to a piece of exotica like a Lambo, Aston, or Ferrari.

In Hong Kong in the mid 70s the government auctioned the number 8888, with all proceeds going to charity.

It sold for a record price, and the Chinese property mogul who bought it went out and bought the top of the line Rolls Royce limo [like the Queen has] to stick it on.

The interesting thing was the number cost more than the "Roller".

The Chinese certainly have a thing about 8

Enjoy the bush

Hi David and Michelle,

Surely if I buy 4 tickets it is not going to cost me $1.58 in postage?

Please advise so I can purchase the winning ticket

Well sort of Glenn, We have to pay credit card fees and send the tickets out in the post and also as it is run through the shop you will qualify for $1.00 in MemberMoney on a purchase of 4 tickets.

Generally these entires are cash and taken on the spot with the receipt/ticket handed over. As we trade online and allow credit card processing (which attracts fees) it is easier to change a small fee to cover the credit processing and membermoney charges than it is to modify the order processing system.
