Air Compressor

I've bought the ARB about two years and three outback trips ago and it hasn't failed me yet.

There was a comparo of these and others a couple of issues ago in 4WD Action magazine.

The thing to remember is reliability for long term ownership and use.

Sure there may be cheaper compressors and ones that put out more air but are they going to be doing that in 3 to 4 years time..... what about parts availability now and in the future?

A $200 high out put compressor may workout to be more expensive then the $349 ARB one if you have to replace the $200 one every couple of years.

ARB are tried and proven...... last thing I would not want if to come of the sand with 20psi in the tyres only to find the cheap compressor has failed and you have to drive 100 kilometers to air up.....

We use twin CKPM12 compressors with a fan and a 20Lt air tank.

We have the ARB and the comparable Bushranger (Supermax) and value for money the ARB one is the best. If you tow its even better because you can get an extension air line that allows you to do the car and camper trailer without having to move the compressor. As for speed and performance I rate it equal to the Bushranger but for cost efficiency the ARB one gets my vote

We use ours just about every weekend for training and it services as many vehicles as need airing up and has never stopped. So the ARB one is our pick based on performance and value for money
