Luke, I have had CC fitted to my Rodeo, (TDI). This was done in Port Augusta (yeah I know it doesn't help you much at the moment). I am very impressed with it. Not genuine, cost about $500 to be fitted when I had the Rodeo in for first service. Genuine item $1k+. I'll have the Rodeo in Perth later on this year. I use it to cruise all day at 110 km/h when on the highway, and even at 60 km/h in the metro area - saves the funbusters nabbing you. Cheers, Dion.

Luke, I had an Autopilot CC fitted to my 80 series by Autobahn for $390 fitted ($290 for the unit alone). A few houres to fit while at work didn't worry me. Works a treat since I do a lot of tarmac stuff, makes driving a lot more relaxing and keeps the flashing blue lights at bay. But I have found slightly better response by driving at around 90-95 km/h; vehicle seems to hold that speed a lot better overall; I presume a bit more around the "natural" speed of the vehicle.

Luke, I am not sure of the brand, I am over sea's at the moment, so I won't be seeing my Rodeo for a few months more yet. GMH did not fit it, they arranged for it to be fitted when the first (1500km) service was being done, as they had the ute all day. Cheers, Dion.

Luke, I had a CC fitted to my T/D rodeo by Gardner Holden (Perth) way back in '94. It was a GMH approved unit which was connected to the speedo cable. Had to have the speedo cable replaced many times as the CC put too much strain on it. Have had that unit replaced by one that has magnets connected to the tail shaft. (make sure they are wired on and not just stuck on as they can be knocked off in the scrub). The unit is called Command CA230 Cruise Control. They are great when doing long trips, you still feel good at end of day, no crook knees. Sorry for answering you so late. Happy Cruising, Peter.
