Although we have not yet conquered all this years promises to ourselves, we have sat down this morning and tried to plan a holiday for August 2004. As we want to head for the gulf area and then
Darwin, we would like to know what the Barkley Highway is like these days between Mt Isa and the N.T. border. A few years back we travelled that way, it was a death trap under cover.( being classified as a highway) Very Happy New Year to you & all, don't make too many promises you cannot handle :-) like us:-(

Happy New Year to you both too, hmmm NY resolutions....
well...last years was a pretty good one so I might carry that over [can you do that?] - it was simply to read more books for myself rather than just reading kids books [only so much Thomas the
tank engine can I take lol] apart from that..I resolve to stay happy & work at being healtheir....good luck with the holiday...can't wait for ours...roll on June 10 !...
Lyn [Mrs. Al]Merry Christmas & a safe and happy New Year

Yea Lyn, you can carry the leftovers into the following year, I have been doing that for years. I think we tend to get into a stage of our life when the demands of the family takeover and the parents sacrifice so much that we need to take time for ourselves to keep our sanity. We thought we were going to have bliss when the kids lived their own lives, but no, we are still parents and now grandparents and still needed. Thats why we take off into the wild blue yonder at times, just to read our own books, talk our talk and get to know ourselves again. Though I wouldn't trade it for anything, I still appreciate "time out". Where are you heading June 10 ( or is it a secret) and what's this trying to be healthier:-) Have a good one, Jen

What a discovery I've just made. Thanks Guys. I now know why I have that bulge in front of me. (The one around the navel Lyn) It's all those New Year resolutions that I've been carrying over for years.
Well no more resolutions for me. That should get rid of it.
Happy New year to all of you.ne cede malis
