The Wenlock has already been bridged late in 2000 I crossed the Wenlock in August 2000 and after that
a bridge was built which runs off to the right of the original ford (heading north).

mike i think it would be a poor decision to bridge the wentlock - why take the adventure away and give access to more people
leave it as a wild frontier

Mike, I was in Cairns in January for training and was informed the bridge is completed. Apparently it was completed early January. I am taking a tour through Cape York in July, so I will post something on it then. But also funding has been granted to develop the road from Cairns to Weipa.

Sad but that is progress.

If there is a bridge I will post info on my website www.4wdtraining.com.au
