birdsville races

planning to go to the races this year,,brisbane to bourke ,,brokenhill ,,maree,, up the track to birdsville ,, any tips would be appreciated,,ford explorer towing camper trailer,,, thank u all in advance.

Hi Axel & Karen, if you contact me just before you leave home to head to the Birdsville Races, either by phone on (07) 46563214 or email on ruthdoyle@growzone.com.au I will give you an up to date road report - best tip - cover the back window of the Ford with a beer carton to stop the stones hitting the front of the trailer and smashing your back window. Brilliant tip that - only costs a few dollars and saves a thousand - no back windows in Birdsville. Be prepared for a great time - really don't see that many drunks - the fresh air, long days drinking stubbies from breakfast time knocks a lot of them out by 10:00 p.m. Happy travelling.
